Tee Hershey, shared the dinner table with a sibling that was in the music game and gripped a grand interest in the music business. Born a leader and a go getter she became ’Tee Hershey’ the F.I.C. (Female in Charge) and Promotions Coordinator of Firm Grip Music Group in 2008. Firm Grip Music Group (FGMG) is the ‘Leader of Innovative Media Promotions and Community Service’; providing a variety of Professional Sound System/ Lighting, Cultured Music DJays, Marketing Strategies, Community Service, Technological Support, Public Relations and Promotional Services to our community & beyond. Inspired to obtain the same mission and purpose on Columbus State University’s campus, she became the founder of an organization named, Student Promoters in 2009. Student Promoters (SP) is a CSU organization that is geared towards helping bring the morale of the school spirit and participation up by assisting other campus organizations with promotions while hosting their own events.
Natasha saw a need for a liaison between upcoming artists and music industry executives and started a movement entitled, “Tee Hershey Tuesdays” back in April of 2010, geared towards helping upcoming artists/ entrepreneurs with Marketing Strategies and Career Development. Hosting successful bi-monthly networking mixers, showcases and events, she began a project called “Coming up Next”. “Coming up Next” has various avenues such as a collaboration Mixtape (giving exposure to upcoming artists), an annual showcase (giving experience to upcoming artists) and a blog site (giving education to upcoming artists/businesses). ‘Coming Up Next: The Blog’, http://thershtues.blogspot.comhas accrued over 15, 000 views since the official feature date, January 11, 2011. This popular blog site is a “Tuesday Priority” featuring blog posting of knowledge for career development, exposure, network and so much more.
As an advocate in this community, Natasha’s Mission Statement is to 'Utilize God's principles to empower her family, friends and young girls to become effective members in society'. Coming January 2012, a Fashion & Music Show “Respect My Craft Exhibition”, will debut a movement that has an inspirational meaning to Natasha, a young female entrepreneur in a regional market that lacks respect for women of her craft. She represents determinate young women around the world that wants to be an outlet for another. Starting out in night-life promotions to making a career out of her passion for marketing, she claims respect for her craft to pave ways for the next generation. Also starting in January, “Intact”, a community service project to empower teenage girls between the ages of 15 and 19 to become effective members of society. This project will create activities that will challenge teenager girls' minds; empower their senses of well-being; and rekindle their hearts with a commitment to values and beliefs essential to becoming and being whole individuals.
With her snazzy attitude, big heart and determinate mind frame Natasha became a 2011 recipient for the ‘Top 20 Women of Influence Awards.’ Always make sure business works for her stepping out with her best foot forward and Thanking God every chance she gets, she still has the ability to maintain a full-time job and the #1 Media Promotion Team, her Tri-City has ever seen. Finishing up her bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Human Resources, her background and work ethics is a great asset to the community in a growing manner.
